when you pray to God for help, God doesn't go "Poof! here's your bag of money." or "Poof! this is what you need." but instead he give you the chance or opportunity for the help to come.
when you pray to God for wisdom, you dont wake up one morning all bright and shiny and your head is filled with so much knowledge you could do a phD straight away. He gives you the opportunity to go to school and study. (and maybe discovery channel too.)
when you pray for love, you dont wake up all warm and fuzzy. he gives you the opportunity for the people around you (or you) a chance to show some act of kindness or love or whatever. like your mom leaving some cash cos she secretly knows you're broke.
when you pray for family, the people you're born with may not understand you or be there for you. but the family you CHOOSE are always there. no matter what.
